Packaging Foam Types

Charcoal Foam: Charcoal foam provides a difficult to soil surface that is perfect for long-term usage in a variety of areas. It is practical for packaging and in the casing of frequently used and delicate items, as it will maintain a professional appearance without dirtying. This foam also has a complete open-pore structure that gives it excellent air flow properties, great for filter applications.

Eggcrate Foam (Convoluted): Eggcrate foam shares the same physical characteristics of the foam it is cut from, but the cutting pattern provides more of a cushion for packaging delicate equipment. The peak-and-valley appearance also offers increased air flow compared to full sheets and creates a professional look for cases and packages.

Poly Foam: A soft, inexpensive foam, poly is perfect for one-time shipping or occasional packaging purposes. Poly foam is also excellent for wrapping and storing occasional-use delicates like china, flatware and holiday ornaments.

Polyethyelene: Polyethylene foam is a strong and resilient closed-cell foam. Ideally suited as the material or a component material in shock absorbing products, this closed-cell foam padding is also a great way to dampen the effects of vibration. This makes it an excellent packaging material for items that may receive indelicate handling or require long-distance transportation. Polyethylene foam's excellent buoyancy also allows it to be used in flotation equipment and other marine products.
