Floating Foam Pads

With warm weather finally arriving, pools and lakes are warming up. This means that it is time to start looking for ways to make your day on the beach even more fun! Foam Floating Pads have become even more sought after to make your lake-going experience the best yet.

What Are Floating Foam Pads?

If you have ever seen kids running around on the water or people sitting on the water, it is likely that they are on top of a Floating Foam Pad. These pads are large pieces of foam that have qualities that make them perfect for use in and around water. If you are boating on the lake or just chilling around the pool, a Floating Foam Pad can give you more surface area to spread out over. This can also be a safe resting place for your kids to rest when they get tired from swimming.

What Foam Is Recommended?

When it comes to Floating Foam Pads, there are a few foams that will work. The most common foam types that you will see are our 2lb Crosslinked Polyethylene and our 2.2lb Polyethylene. For something that is even more durable over time, Minicel T200 is also a great option. These foams work 2”, but will work best at 3”-4” for maximum support.

These foam types are great options for Floating Foam Pads. They are all closed-cell foams, which means that they are heavily water-resistant. None of these foams are tested to function as a PFD (personal flotation device) for safety, however, they are often purchased for floating foam pads and similar applications. That said, Minicel T200 foam IS actually tested for its buoyancy, so this foam is even more prepared to function as a Floating Foam Pad.

Even More Fun on the Lake!

Using 2”, 3”, or 4” thick full sheets of 2.2lb Polyethylene, 2lb Crosslinked Polyethylene, and Minicel T200 foam, a lake trip can be more fun than ever! Floating Foam Pads can help your kids play safe! On top of that, they can be helpful to you, too! If you want that suntan you’ve been looking for, why not float on the water while you get it? Have a dog you take on the lake? Let them play on the Pad while you swim. More than anything, this foam pad can be an extension for your boat, giving you even more space to spread the party out.
