Features
Studio columns can be used to create a controlled subspace in areas that would otherwise have a high degree of acoustic interference. These free standing columns, when arranged around a point, provide the protection of all-around sound absorption.

Details
Affordability: Studio columns offer 50 to 75 percent savings or more, compared to other arrays.
No Resonant Frequency: Studio columns are passive acoustic devices constructed from foam specifically fabricated for soundproofing. Because of this, they do not have a resonant frequency. Competing devices are most effective at singular frequencies and produce uneven sound planes due to the diameters of the different devices.
Broadband Absorption: Studio columns offer superb broad bandwidth control with extreme linearity. Acoustical testing shows that studio columns across the testing bandwidth differ only +/- 1.9 Sabins. This is statistically nearly flat and very hard to accomplish.
Portability: Being made of foam, studio columns are very light. Because of this, they can be moved, stored, and configured however and whenever necessary.
Modularity: Studio columns are sold individually, so you can make as large or small of an array as needed. So if or when the time comes, more studio columns can be purchased to create larger or new arrays.
Symmetrical Absorption and Refraction: Other arrays use devices of varying diameters, which absorb frequencies differently and have different refraction characteristics. These competing arrays create hot spots and null areas in the sound field. Some competitors' columns are only absorptive on half their circumference. With the knowledge that room noise is generated by sound waves and their interaction and movement with room boundaries, it makes sense to have the full 360 degrees of soundproofing that our studio columns provide.
Progressive Design: While some other columns have been said to "not work," both scientifically and subjectively, this is not the case with our product. Based on the physics of sound control, their 360 degree design and non-resonant foam, our studio columns perform as they should.
Bass Absorption: Studio columns provide a great amount of low frequency absorption at all times. This is vital because low frequency is the most pervasive, overlooked and difficult to solve sound issue. Studio columns can provide this low frequency absorption, no matter where they are placed in a room.
Added Bonus: As an added bonus, we package all studio columns with female broadband absorbers, free of charge! While they secure the studio columns in the packaging, they can be used for additional bass trapping and broadband absorption in your room. Providing about the same amount of sound absorption as the studio columns themselves, make sure to realize they're far more than just regular packaging materials!

NOTES: ALL acoustical/soundproofing foam products have a 2LB density.
All acoustical products meet ASTM E84 Class A and California 117 flame retardancy specifications. Generally, this means if you were to briefly expose our foam to a flame, it would self-extinguish.
We do not encourage or endorse anyone attempting fire retardancy tests. Also, please check building codes to meet your area's regulation before installing our acoustic foam.
